| Ah, nothing like a Zerrari. This kit was pieced together using a modified Bomex front end, Gracer rear valence, and alot of custom body work. I wonder if those vents over the trunk are actually open. The second Z is part Veilside and part Do-Luck.... That guy looks way to enthusiastic if you ask me. The third and fourth pics are of the Silver Veilside Z on Page 3. He's done some minor work since then, and won some awards along the way. Kind of nice but what's up with those dinky side view mirrors? | ||||
| I scanned the first two images because I thought his setup was very clean. There are 3 8" subs under the cover. Also, in the second image you can see an aftermarket AT shift knob. This is the same one Stillen was selling for some outrageous price (close to $300 I believe). If you want one, keep in mind they were designed for Right hand drive Zs so the OD button will be on the wrong side and the ergonomics may feel whack. The third and fourth pics show a little bit of everything it seems. I can't figure out who made all the kit pieces, but it's not AB-Flug as you may assume (there is Do-Luck, and Prelude Hero I think and the rear under valence is an original which includes a third brake light at the very bottom of it). Notice the small deck lid spoiler... | ||||
| The first scan is a little lame. It doesn't show much other than some odd aluminum pieces (I can understand the muffler guards, but what is that thing in the center?). The second pic is a mock up of an R32 Intercooler core used in a Z32 application. The drawings show the stock setup (left) and the R32 setup (right) with it's custom piping. The Red Z shown is the recipient of the transplant (obviously). The last two pics are of a very interesting Z. It has an SR20DET engine in it (240, SE-R engine...). Single Turbo, putting out mega horsepower, and running 11.4 quarter miles with much (or all) of the interior intact. All I have to say is wow... A 4cyl engine in a car as heavy as the Z pulling those times. | ||||
| The first image is of the Still Way clubs Z and it's posted 11.4 quarter mile time. Something to note (aside from the rear over fenders and mega intercooler) is the painted manifold. Very nice. The next two images are of the D Speed kit (rather, full body conversion) which can also be found on Page 2. It's alright, but it ruins the lines of the Z and gives the Z a more NSX look. The fourth image is of D Speeds Saltwater Flat kit. Not the greatest looking kit.... | ||||
| The first and second Z is the third and final Z from the 1/4 mile feature in the July issue of Carboy (other contenders were supras, rx-7s and the HKS skyline ripping an 8.43 time... slightly faster than my Z I'd say). Note the shift gate in both pics. I believe AB-Flug makes this (I saw the ad, now I'm hunting for it). The third Z is fitted with the AB-Flug kit (not sure if the wing is from AB-Flug though). Check out those fenders... The fourth Z is the same Z seen on Page 3, top row only it's changed a bit cosmetically. Love those Blitz rims. | ||||
